Where storage containers, silos, bunkers or material transition lines are closed or have to be released, the SMD slide gate is in use. It is a significant interface in conveyor technology.

The SMD slide gate consists of a sturdy housing, the slide plate with spindle and is optionally equipped with an electrical or hydraulic, pneumatic or manual drive per hand wheel or ratchet. Where necessary, electrical proximity switches can monitor the position of the slide gate. By an appropriate choice of material, the SMD slide gate can also be applied at higher temperatures. The SMD slide gate is used as dosage-, emergy shut-off- or operating slide e. g. in front of the SMD trough chain conveyor, the SMD submerged chain conveyor or in front of the SMD rotary valve.
